Short version: an email address, a password hash, and what you have learned.

What is stored

If you create an account we store your email address, a hashed password, and your course progress. Progress means which words you have seen, how well you knew them and when they are next due. It is what makes the course work across devices.

Without an account, everything stays in your own browser and none of it reaches the server.

What is not stored

No card details. Payments, when they exist, are handled by Stripe and card numbers never touch our servers. No advertising trackers and nothing sold or shared with third parties.

Analytics

We use a self-hosted analytics install to see which pages get read and where people give up. It records page views and rough location by country. It does not follow you around other sites.

Deleting your account

Email and it will be deleted, along with all progress attached to it, within seven days. No exit interview.
